I have come to the conclusion that the internet is the embodiment of the concept of reading as a second language.

And I've always known that, despite all the good press, Spamcop sucks, too.

I didn't realize that our club - the Yahoo City of Beloit Club
- is approaching our 4 year anniversary. The club was founded November 14, 1998. Wow!

I hope you realize what a net.achievement that is. Internet time is usually considered like dog time; meaning that four years represents a huge achievement. We have over 6 megabytes of archived messages, spanning the downfall and eventual liquidation of Beloit Corporation, Jane Wood's first year in Beloit, a contentious casino debate, referendum and subsequent council election, and a bunch more stuff.

Let's hope we can make that 5 years, too!
